Contests
As a club member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), CNPA gives members the opportunity to participate in international photography competitions and showcase their work alongside photographers from around the world. Currently, CNPA competes in PSA's Pictorial Print Interclub Competition, an open-subject competition featuring color, monochrome, and creative altered reality prints. Three rounds of competition are held each year, and CNPA members are invited to submit their work for consideration. Participating offers several benefits:
Image selection takes place at the annual CNPA Convention and at a smaller fall review session held somewhere in the Carolinas. Members may submit prints whether or not they attend the Convention or fall review session. CNPA previously competed in PSA Nature and Digital Image competitions and hopes to expand participation again in the future. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate these programs, creating even more opportunities for members to compete. If you're interested in helping, contact CNPA's PSA representative, Paul Halphen via email here: psa-rep@cnpa.org Whether you're an experienced exhibitor or entering your first competition, PSA Interclub is a rewarding way to challenge yourself, improve your photography, and represent CNPA on the international stage. |
